LAVER CUP – Is a tennis tournament between two teams, Team
Europe and Team World, the letter of which is composed of players from non –
European countries. Tournament is named after a famous Australian tennis legend
Rod Laver.

Is one of major cities of U.s, which have teams from five
major American professional team sports (Baseball, American Football, Basketball,
Hockey and Soccer). Sporting News has named it as the
Best Sport City three
times in 1993, 2006, and 2010. Chicago has hosted the 1959 Pan America Games,
the 2006 Gay Games, as well as the 1968 and 1970 Special Olympics Summer World Games.
Chicago was the host of the 2017 warrior games.
Laver Another Chicago Big ‘Thing’
The first edition of Laver Cup was held in Prague from 22 –
24 September 2017
At the o2 Arena. Team Europe clinched the cup by defeating
Team World 15 – 9.
The second edition will be held in Chicago from 21 – 23
September 2018, at the United Center.
Team Europe, which is under captain Bjorn Borg with Roger Federer,
the world no.1 as representative player. While Team World consist of John
McEnroe as captain and Nick Kyrgios , world no.20 as representative player.
Chicago being sports city we expect it to be more fun event
and entertain one. We hope tennis will
take over as new culture as other major sports here.
It’s a three-day event, but it will light the whole city up,
since the player are the high ranked ATP players. We expect to see huge crowd.
As the Roger’s t-shirts are now selling the event is also getting near. Most of the Roger’s fans in world like to use
his outfits and tennis racquet. It is obvious the master influence his fans,
there will be new tennis trend habits from social media to daily life.
