Tsitsipas Pull Through: Stefanos Earns Unforgettable Win In Paris

Just two days after falling to Andrey Rublev in the Hamburg final, Tsitsipas dug deep to outlast Jaume Munar 4-6, 2-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 after three hours and 12 minutes. Tsitsipas increased his aggression to turn the tables on his opponent, striking 36 winners in the final three sets to reach the second round for the third straight year.

“I don’t think I’ve ever played a match like this before,” said Tsitsipas. “The emotions and the nerves at the very beginning were not there, but [I made] slight adjustments and tried to find a way to win, a different way.

“It wasn’t working out for me in the beginning. Nothing was working… But I am really proud of myself, the effort I put in and the amount of dedication.”

What racquet does Tsitsipas use?
